I continue to display photos from our trip Paphos - Cedar Valley - Kykkos Monastery - a picnic in the mountains - waterfall Millomeris - Paphos

A final part of our journey is to reach to the Falls Melollomeris and it was very simple. If you go from a trout farm in the direction to Limassol in few kilometers will be a brown sign of a see sight. After it turn and drive very careful. In the cold season, when rain or snow it is not advised to go there at all.

From the parking have to to go through just a little bit and you will see wonderful waterfall!

Waterfall Millomeris formed the coldest river Cyprus - Krios Potamos, which in Greek is translated as "Cold River". The crystal clear water of the river Flowing down to 15 meters in height, forming the highest waterfall on the island. Previously, the road to the waterfall was complex, which adversely affected its popularity for many years. However, a recent approach to the waterfall cleared, with paths cleared massive stones prevented tourists and the riverbed is now possible to cross the bridge.

There are two versions of the origin of the name Millomeris: on the first name of the waterfall comes from the Greek phrase meaning "wet spot" on the second waterfall is named after the mill, which was once in its vicinity.

In this area, pines, cypresses, ivy, immortelle, Cypriot variety of asters and other beautiful plants. From branch to branch flit different birds such as dipper, chickadees, jays, blackbirds and crows crested. On the rocks, basking in the rays of the sun bright lizard, if you're lucky, and you will see a chameleon, a squirrel, rabbit or even admire the smooth flight of the imperial eagle.
