What to see in Cyprus. Lempa Prehistoric Village.

The village of Lempa ( Lemba ) located 4 kilometers north of Paphos, between the villages of Kissonerga and Chlorakas. The nature of this extraordinarily beautiful place: the village is situated on the coast, and here you can see a really amazing sea sunset. In the vicinity of Lempa grow the most ancient terebinth, aged about 500 years.
Of the most picturesque villages of the district of Paphos Lamb stands still and its special historical significance. Beautiful countryside near the coast , as well as Lamb is associated with the ancient past, as it is here found one of the oldest settlements in Cyprus.

On the outskirts of the village you will see a sign that says «Prehistoric Village», which indicates lying nearby village of Lemba Experimental partially reconstructed settlement of the Bronze Age ( c. 3500-2500 gg. BC. E.)  Here were found statuettes of women carved from stone that period a lot of pottery and coins of a later period. British archaeologists have fully restored only six round cylinder-shaped huts with temporary roofs and adobe ovens, typical of the time, you can look and imagine the ancient past of the island.

The village of Lemba (Lempa) is called the village of artists. Since 1981, Cyprus is in Lempe College of Fine Arts the forces which has been renovated old school - there since 1981 and houses an art studio a well-known artists in the world. Since then, the Lempa is a colony of the famous international artists.
Here in the village houses artists craftsmen and their apprentices contain studio. Artist Stas Paraskos organizes summer courses are for young artists and sculptors from all over the world. Along the road leading to the college  with sculptures - the so -called Great Wall Sculpture Lempa. Also interesting to visit the pottery workshops there.
